Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens are gearing up for what feels like the true beginning of their journey, even as the NFL heads into Week 18 of the 2024 season.

For Jackson, the year may be winding down, but his mindset suggests otherwise—a promising sign for a team poised to make a deep playoff run and possibly clinch the AFC North.

“It doesn’t feel like the year’s ending at all,” Jackson said on New Year’s Eve. “It feels like the season is just getting started. But yeah, it’s New Year’s Eve.”

As the Ravens prepare to close out the regular season against the Cleveland Browns on Saturday, Jackson and his team have already secured their third consecutive playoff berth. A win would not only cap off an impressive season but also secure their second straight division title.

Jackson’s 2024 performance has been nothing short of MVP-caliber. Whether he wins back-to-back MVP honors or shares the spotlight with Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, his stats speak for themselves.

The Ravens’ star quarterback has completed 300 of 442 passes for 3,955 yards, throwing a career-high 39 touchdown passes against just four interceptions. Leading the league in multiple categories, including a stellar 121.6 QB rating, Jackson has also proven to be a dual threat with 852 rushing yards, four rushing touchdowns, and an impressive 6.6 yards per carry.

During the Ravens’ Christmas Day victory over the Houston Texans, Jackson cemented his legacy by becoming the NFL’s all-time leader in rushing yards by a quarterback.

Reflecting on the year, Jackson said, “There are so many memories from 2024. I can’t pick just one standout moment. It’s been a year full of blessings—no complaints, just gratitude.”

As the clock ticks into 2025, Jackson remains focused on the ultimate goal. When asked about his New Year’s resolution, he kept it close to the chest, saying, “I’m going to keep that to myself.”

One thing seems clear, though—Lamar Jackson’s unwavering resolve is likely aimed at securing the Ravens’ first Lombardi Trophy in over a decade. With the playoffs just around the corner, the Ravens’ season feels far from over—it feels like it’s just beginning.
